Verse x Joss Ryder Photography

Joss Ryder Photo is a photography studio in West London catering to the creative industry through art shoots, theatre, film and event photography as well as creative portraiture.

Joss Ryder Photo's existing website was a simple DIY business site that lacked the proper showcasing of Joss’ work and brand. The site also lacked a strong user-interface, was clunkily put together and didn’t do much to highlight her brilliant work.

The biggest mission with the new Joss Ryder Photo site was to showcase her brilliant work in a way that felt more gallery-like as less like a standard online portfolio. She had a specific vision for a left-hand navigation which we achieved across the site with custom code. We also incorporated new branding and pops of color to bring an edge and showcase personality.

The resulting site feels deceptively simple and elegant while letting her photos shine.

We optimized the whole site for advanced SEO/AIO, implementing tags, meta descriptions, alt text, compressed imagery, headlines and keywords throughout the site and photo naming conventions.
