Verse x Aköne by Chef Allo

Aköne is a pop-up Cameroonian fine-dining experience led by Chef Andy Allo. With each thoughtfully curated dish, she invites diners to experience the depth and beauty of her culinary roots, delivering an unforgettable journey that bridges culture and cuisine.

Aköne needed a website to highlight Chef Allo’s experience and dishes and to be a central place for press and information about upcoming pop-ups.

The biggest mission with the site was to create a user experience that felt like dining at Aköne — familiar, welcoming, upscale, sleek and thoughtful. We incorporated elements of the food and Chef Allo’s Cameroonian heritage graphically throughout, as well as using enticing photography of the dishes.

Even though this site was completed in a half-day One Day Website session, we had time to optimize the whole site for advanced SEO, implementing tags, meta descriptions, alt text, compressed imagery, headlines and keywords throughout the site.
